Meet Charlie Schultz…David McCoy’s New Hero

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — At day one of the adaptive softball state tournament in Coon Rapids Friday night, WCCO’s David McCoy found his new hero.

His name is Charlie Schultz, and he was — by far — the shortest player at the tournament.

“I’m about 3 feet [tall],” the seventh-grader said.

He might be short, but his batting average is well above average.

Watch the video above and let David McCoy show you why Charlie is so remarkable.
