Tornado Touches Down In Swift County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A tornado touched down in Swift County near Benson, Minn. on Thursday afternoon.

Swift County Sheriff John Holtz says a trained weather spotter first saw the tornado just after 4 p.m. There were several confirmed sightings and touchdowns just south, to the north and northwest of Benson over the next 45 minutes.

There have been no reports of severe damage as of early Thursday evening.
