MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Four children were among seven people were hurt, two seriously, in a rollover crash in Pine County Monday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities were called at about 9:09 p.m. to northbound Interstate 35 near milepost 208 on a report of a rollover crash. When officers arrived, a 1997 Chevy Blazer had gone off the road to the left, went back onto the road to the right and flipped over twice before resting on the driver’s side facing west.

Seven people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. All of them were taken to a hospital in Moose Lake. From there, one person was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth and two were airlifted to Children’s Hospital in St. Paul.

The State Patrol said a 4-year-old boy, 3-year-old girl and 25-year-old woman all suffered serious injuries. Four others, including two children and the driver, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol is investigating what led up to the crash with assistance from the Pine County Sheriff’s Office.
