MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Paul police are asking the public for information after a man was shot and killed Wednesday.

Police say officers responded to a shooting call just after noon at the intersection of Arcade Street and Case Avenue. As they were arriving, they learned that a man had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.

St. Paul firefighters and an emergency crew brought the man to Regions Hospital, where he later died.

The man has yet to be identified. Police say they’re working with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office to find out who the victim was.

The shooting is not believed to be random. Police say there is no public safety concern.

The incident is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the St. Paul Police Homicide Unit at 651-266-5650.
