MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man was crushed to death by a stack of plywood pallets at a Minneapolis business Friday afternoon.

Police say the incident happened just before 4 p.m. at AA Container Sales Inc. in north Minneapolis.

Travis James Carter, 36, was operating a forklift that was carrying several pallets, which tipped over and crushed him when he got off of the machine.

Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
