MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 23-year-old woman was injured after she fell out of a moving vehicle’s window Saturday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The incident happened along Highway 52 east of Chatfield, Minnesota in Fillmore County.

According to authorities, the woman was a passenger in a Hyundai Sonata that was traveling north on the highway. Near County Road 40, the woman fell out of the front passenger window as the car was going about 55 miles per hour.

She sustained non-life threatening injuries. A Gold Cross ambulance responded to the scene.

State Troopers said the woman — identified as Saralyn R. Squillace of Rochester — was one of three people in the vehicle who had been drinking.

The incident remains under investigation.
