Officials: No Fatalities In "I-90/94 Challenge"

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials say there have been no fatalities in the I-90/94 challenge as of 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3.

Drivers across 15 states were asked to take part in the I-90/94 challenge from Aug. 1 – 4.

The challenge covers more than 5,600 miles between Washington state and New York. The challenge will use education, awareness and strict enforcement to try to save lives and remind motorists to drive safely.

So far, no fatalities have been reported.

Officials say there are 64 straight hours without a traffic death.

The challenge will end on Monday, Aug. 4.
