MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two people were pulled from a Crow Wing County lake Friday night after the ultralight plane they were riding in crashed.

According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. in Agate Lake in Deerwood, Minn.

Richard Northburg from Deerwood was piloting the aircraft when the engine stalled, causing it to crash into the water.

A witness pulled Northburg and his passenger, Justin Odle from Aitkin, from the lake. No one was injured.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
