Sheriff: Crash Kills Motorcyclist In Montrose

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday after being involved in a crash with a vehicle northwest of the Twin Cities, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 9:39 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 12 in the city of Montrose. When officers arrived, they discovered a 2001 Chevy Impala was involved in a crash with a 2003 Suzuki Road Sport motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Impala was not injured in the crash.

The name of the motorcyclist has not been released. What led up to the crash is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol with assistance from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
