MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot Tuesday afternoon in south Minneapolis.

Police say the shooting happened at about noon on 38th Street, just west of Oakland Avenue South.

Three people were walking westbound when a vehicle pulled alongside them. The pedestrians and the suspects in the vehicle exchanged words before a passenger opened fire.

One pedestrian was shot in the back, and another in the hand.

Both were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center

Minneapolis Police are investigating.
