Teal Strides For Ovarian Cancer Takes Place In Edina
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Lowry Bridge was lit up teal this weekend, along with some other Minneapolis landmarks.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and teal is the representative color.
Saturday morning, survivors, family and friends participated in the Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer in Edina.
Four thousand people took part.
Participants raised more than $500,000 dollars for local ovarian cancer research, detection and treatment.
Since there's no test for ovarian cancer, women are encouraged to know the symptoms.
