Fire Destroys Vacant Home In North Minneapolis, No Injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said there were no injuries after a north Minneapolis home was badly damaged in a fire early Wednesday morning.

Crews were called at about 2 a.m. to the 3000 block of Knox Avenue North on a report of a house fire. When firefighters arrived, fire and smoke were showing from the front of the home. Fire officials said the home was vacant and was being remodeled.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, and inspectors will be out Wednesday morning to determine if the home needs to be knocked down. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
