Keillor's 'Radio Man' To Open At History Theatre

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Humorist and best-selling author Garrison Keillor can now add playwright to his list of achievements.

Keillor's first-full length play, "Radio Man," is set to debut Saturday night at the History Theatre in downtown St. Paul.

The play's main character, called "The Host," is modeled after Keillor, creator and host of public radio's popular "A Prairie Home Companion."

Actor Pearce Bunting plays The Host. Bunting's credits include HBO's "Boardwalk Empire."

Keillor and Richard Dworsky, who leads The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band on "Prairie Home," wrote the songs.

"Radio Man" runs through Oct. 26.
