WCCO Sets Friendly Wager With Green Bay's WFRV

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- What's a rivalry without a little wager? As the Minnesota Vikings take on the Green Bay Packers tonight at Lambeau Field, the WCCO morning crew will be taking on the WFRV morning crew in Green Bay.

WFRV's Brittany Falkers and Rich Klindworth had plenty of confidence while placing their bets.

"We here in Titletown, yeah, we're confident that our Packers will roll over your Vikings, thus allowing us to win the bet," Falkers said.

The bet in question?

Klindworth challenged Jason DeRusha and Jamie Yuccas to read a very "pro-Packers" poem on air that he'll write -- complete with finger snapping -- if the Vikings lose. Plus, our morning anchors will have to wear green and gold on the day they read it.

So what was WCCO's bet?

Shots fired -- Jason DeRusha calls out Falkers, a native Minnesotan and University of Minnesota grad.

"We know that you're pretending to be a Packers fan," he said.

If the Vikings win, Falkers and Klindworth will have to sing the "Skol Vikings" song live on air -- and yes, Falkers, we know you know the lyrics already, so you can teach your co-anchor.

May the best team -- and anchor team -- win. Or as DeRusha puts it, "Hopefully the Vikings won't disappoint us."
