Wis. Man's Good Luck Charm For Green Bay Packers: His Beard

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Wausau, Wisconsin man's beard may have something to do with the Packers' win Sunday and overall success this season -- that is, if you believe in superstition.

Jeremy Wilcox says during a game early in the season, Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers noticed his beard while he was sitting in the stands. Rodgers then gave him thumbs up that he liked it.

From then on at every home game Wilcox says Rodgers was on the lookout for the beard.

"Just at some point during the game, he wanders over and gives it a little tug and goes about his day," Wilcox said.

During Sunday's game, when Rodgers returned to the sidelines cameras caught the quarterback doing the ritual beard tug. The Packers went on to win.

Wilcox says he's been growing the beard for two years now. He says he plans on keeping it as long as it brings the team good luck.
