Septic Truck Driver Accused Of Crashing Drunk Into Minivan, Injuring 5-Year-Old

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A septic pump truck driver is accused of drunkenly crashing into a minivan and injuring a mother and her 5-year-old son in St. Louis County.

Alcohol and traffic charges are pending against Daniel Scott, of Eveleth, Minnesota, according to a release from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Ellen Lauseng, 47, of Aurora, Minnesota, was taken to St. Luke's medical center in Duluth. The extent of her injuries are unknown.

Her son, Caden, 5, was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 99 and Trigstad Road in White Township.
