Timberwolves Sign Miroslav Raduljica To 10-Day Contract

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/AP) – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Thursday they've signed center Miroslav Raduljica to a 10-day contract.

Raduljica was not selected in the 2010 NBA Draft, but was signed by the Milwaukee Bucks in July 2013. The 7-foot center averaged 3.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and just more than nine minutes in 48 games that season.

He was traded to the L.A. Clippers last August before being waived and signing with a team in the Chinese Basketball League There, he averaged 18.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and more than 26 minutes in 14 games.

A Serbia native, Raduljica has played with the Serbian National Team since 2009 and helped that squad take the silver medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Timberwolves needed another center because Nikola Pekovic has missed most of the season with chronic pain in his right ankle. Pekovic participated in light contact drills this week, but it's not certain when he'll return to the court.

Radulijica is expected to be available to play at Milwaukee on Friday night. Raduljica will wear No. 13 for the Timberwolves.
