Faribault Police: Mother, 32, Found Dead In Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The cause of death of a 32-year-old mother found unresponsive Friday morning in a Faribault home is not clear, according to police.

Crews responded to a report of an unresponsive woman in a residence on the 300 block of 14th Street Northwest at about 7:20 a.m.

First responders tried to revive Jamie Taylor, of Faribault, who was discovered by the male homeowner. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the homeowner has been cooperative in the investigation.

There were no signs of criminal activity at the scene, according to Faribault Police Chief Andy Bohlen.

"This is sincerely heart wrenching as officers delivered death notifications to several children under the age of 15, and our collective thoughts and prayers go out to this family on such a tragic day," Bohlen said.

Faribault police are investigating, and the Rice County Medical Examiner's office is still trying to determine the cause of Taylor's death.

Anyone with information about Taylor's activities in the 24 hours before her death is asked to call Det. Sgt. Brandon Gliem at 507-334-0947.
