Vehicle Breaks Through Ice Into Lake Ida
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A vehicle broke through the ice in Douglas County on Sunday evening.
Two people were inside the vehicle when it broke through the ice on Lake Ida near Betsy Ross Point.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened at about 7 p.m.
A man and his 16-year-old daughter were in the car when it broke through, but both were able to escape from the vehicle and make it to solid ice.
Neither sustained any significant injuries.
The Minneapolis Department of Natural Resources assisted in the call.
