Sheriff: Deputy On Leave After Assaulting Another Officer

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said a deputy is on paid administrative leave after it received a complaint of assaulting another officer.

Authorities said they received a complaint that on Feb. 17, Deputy Taylor Fenrich assaulted another officer. The details of that incident weren't immediately available. The Meeker County Sheriff's Office requested that the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office investigate the incident, and once that was completed, it was referred to an outside agency.

The McLeod County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation, and Fenrich is on paid administrative leave pending the investigation.
