Kevin Garnett To Throw Out First Pitch At Twins Home Opener

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Twins announced their plans Tuesday for their first game of 2015 at Target Field, and they will involve one of the most popular athletes in the history of Minnesota sports.

The Twins host the 2014 American League Champion Kansas City Royals on at 3:10 p.m. on April 13. Kevin Garnett of the Minnesota Timberwolves will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the game at Target Field.

The gates will open at Target Field at 1 p.m. They'll be opened by former Twins legends Bert Blyleven, Tony Oliva, Kent Hrbek and Tom Kelly. There will also be a Breakfast on the Plaza event from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the 7th Street side of Target Plaza.
