MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- These are the four things you need to know about for Friday, March 27, including a case-breaking update in the French Alps plane crash, and the Gophers' appearance in the "Frozen Four" NCAA Hockey Tournament.

Significant Discovery Found In Home Of GermanWings Co-Pilot

Investigators say the clue inside Andreas Lubitz's home near Dusseldorf now must be taken in for testing, but that it could reveal what happened. Police aren't saying what it is, but say it is not a suicide note.

It's believed Lubitz locked the pilot out of the cockpit, then descended into the Alps, killing 150 people on board a plane bound from Barcelona to Dusseldorf.

4 Minnesota Teams Competing In NCAA Men's Hockey Tournament

The Gophers take on the Duluth Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Frozen Four tournament in Manchester, New Hampshire at 4:30 p.m. The winner plays Boston University or Yale on Saturday.

This will be the Gophers 36th NCAA tournament appearance. St. Cloud State also plays this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in Fargo, while the number one seed Mankato plays tomorrow.

Astronaut Scott Kelly Leaves For Year-Long Mission In Space

Astronaut Scott Kelly is leaving today for a year in space. As NASA tries to blast off to Mars, the mission will provide data on how humans react to a long period in space.

Kelly's identical twin mark, a retired astronaut will undergo the same tests here on Earth.
