Minnesota Lynx Re-Sign Maya Moore

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Lynx announced Thursday they have re-signed forward Maya Moore to a multi-year contract.

Moore, a four-year veteran originally taken by the Lynx with the No. 1 pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft, was a restricted free agent after the 2014 season. She started all 34 games last year, extending her consecutive games played streak to 136. Per team policy, the terms of her contract were not released.

She averaged a career-high 23.9 points per game last season as well as 8.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in more than 34 minutes per game. In four years with the Lynx, Minnesota has made three straight WNBA Finals appearances, winning titles in 2011 and 2013.

Moore was named the WNBA's MVP in 2014.
