Minneapolis Police Resolve Standoff With Man On Roof
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Minneapolis police faced down a man on the roof of a North Minneapolis house on Wednesday.
Richard Dean Podvin was wanted by the U.S. Marshals service and crashed into a Hennepin County Sheriff's Office squad car around 6 p.m. in an attempt to flee.
A deputy was injured in the crash.
The man then ran into a home near 40th and Fremont Avenues and climbed to the roof.
He was negotiated down by police around 9 p.m.
