Average Person Spends 1.5 Days Per Month On Apps
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The average person now spends about a day and a half every month using apps on their smart phone or tablet, according to mobile app statistics compiled by Nielsen.
The average during a one-month period was 37 hours, 28 minutes during the last quarter of 2014.
That represents a jump of about 25 percent from the year before, and roughly 63 percent from the same period two years prior.
The statistics found that the bulk of the increase came from entertainment apps, followed by music apps.
Nielsen also said that men used a higher number of apps than women, but that women spent more time on the apps they use than men.
