Maya Moore Ranked Third In WNBA All-Star Voting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Lynx guard Maya Moore is currently third overall in WNBA All-Star balloting with more than 7,700 votes so far, league officials said Thursday.

Moore is behind Tulsa's Skylar Diggins and Chicago's Elena Delle Donne. Diggins will not play in the All-Star Game after recently suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Also in the voting are Lynx guard Seimone Augustus, second among Lynx players with more than 5,500 votes and  Lindsay Whalen, fourth on Minnesota's squad with more than 4,000 votes.

Moore is leading the Lynx in scoring this year with 16.3 points per game. She's also averaging 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Augustus leads the WNBA in free-throw percentage with a perfect 16-for-16. She's also ninth in the WNBA in scoring with 15.4 points per game.

The WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. eastern time on July 25 in Connecticut. The starters for the game will be announced on Tuesday, July 14.
