Sheriff: Montana Man Drowns In Hackensack Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Cass County Sheriff's Department says a man drowned Tuesday evening in a Hackensack lake.

Deputies were called to a home on Ten Mile Lake just before 5:30 p.m. on a report of a medical emergency.

A group of people were swimming when the victim -- 49-year-old Peter Keller of Kalispell, Montana -- went under water for some time.

He was eventually retrieved, and deputies arrived as someone was performing CPR on him on a dock. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
