Charges: Woman Engaged In Sex With 13-Year-Old Boy

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) --The head soccer coach at Champlin Park High School is accused of engaging in sex with a 13-year-old boy at his north Twin Cities metro home late last summer, according to charges filed Tuesday in Anoka County Court.

Rebecca Lee Noonan, 31, has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child 13 to 15 years old and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving non-consensual sexual contact in connection with the case.

She was arrested Monday and booked into the Anoka County Jail. She was released Tuesday on $50,000 bail.

According to the charges, Noonan was at the victim's home in Ramsey last August or September while his mother wasn't home. Noonan was friend's with the boy's mother.

She went into his room, undressed and got into the boy's bed. She then grabbed his penis and engaged in sex with him for several minutes, then told him to keep the encounter a secret because she would go to jail for a long time.

"It's important to note this did not take place around Champlin Park High School or on school property," said Jim Skelly, the spokesperson for the Anoka-Hennepin school district. "Our response is to launch an internal investigation into the matter."

Skelly said the district was not aware of any history of misconduct.

The victim told his siblings about the incident and told them not to say anything.

His siblings told police what he told them.

The boy's mother told police Noonan was with the boy in August or September of 2014.

The school district says they are waiting to get more information before making any decisions.

Noonan faces up to 16 years in prison if she's found guilty.
