Sheriff: Alcohol A Factor In Pierce County (Wis.) Rollover Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 28-year-old woman from Ellsworth, Wis., was hurt in a rollover crash late Saturday night in western Wisconsin and alcohol is believed to have been a factor, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover crash with injuries at about 11:02 p.m. on Highway 10 east of Dexter St. in Oak Grove Township. When officers arrived, they learned a vehicle was heading eastbound on Highway 10 when the driver lost control after trying to pull over to the shoulder.

The driver, identified by authorities as McKayla Jo Helene Kuss, was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries. Authorities said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Prescott Fire Department and River Falls Area Ambulance.
