Twin Cities Cops Gather For Fellow Officer Battling Cancer

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police officers from around the Twin Cities are rallying around a fellow cop who is fighting cancer.

Jesse Garcia is a 24-year veteran of the Minneapolis Police Department. You may remember him as the department's former public information officer.

He grew up in St. Paul, and that's where a bike run and silent auction were held Sunday. About 75 bikers got a police escort as they rode by Regions Hospital, where Garcia is being treated.

He was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer in February.
