Lynx To Host Annual 'Camp Day' Game Wednesday

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Thousands of campers are expected when the Minnesota Lynx host their annual "Camp Day" game Wednesday at Target Center.

The team says more than 17,000 campers and fans from across Minnesota are expected when the Lynx take on the Connecticut Sun.

Campers will take part in on-court contests throughout the game. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and tipoff is at noon.

The Lynx are 8-5 on Camp Day dating back to July 10, 2002, and average 13,539 fans per game. At last season's Camp Day, a franchise-record crowd of 19,839 saw the Lynx beat the Tulsa Shock 93-82.

The Lynx have won their last four games and are atop the Western Conference with a 12-3 record. Minnesota heads into the All-Star break after Wednesday's game.
