Sheriff: Motorcyclist Hurt In Douglas County Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 19-year-old man was injured Saturday night after his motorcycle lost control and crashed in northwestern Minnesota, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 7:31 p.m. on S Maple Lake Road SE near the town of Forada, which is just south of Alexandria. When officers arrived, a 19-year old Barnesville man identified as Jonah Aaron Kletsch was the victim in the crash.

He had been riding his motorcycle east on S Maple Lake Road when it lost control, went off a curve and crashed into a ditch. Authorities said Kletsch was the lone occupant of the motorcycle and suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.

He was transported to the Douglas County Hospital for treatment. Authorities said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Forada Fire Department assisted the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at the scene.
