Mike's Mix: Java Jive's Espresso Float

FALCON HEIGHTS (WCCO) -- Last week in Mike's Mix, I had an ice cream float made with alcoholic root beer.

But the audience couldn't have samples, because you can't hand out beer.

This week, it's a different story.

I tried the espresso float from Java Jive, and owner Jayne Reid-Walen was able to bring over lots of samples to the WCCO booth.

The float has rich espresso coffee poured over ice cream from St. Paul's Grand Ole Creamy.

In Italian, this treat is called an affogato.

You can get one with straight, or with flavors like almond, hazelnut, caramel, and turtle.
