MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 19-year-old female from northwestern Minnesota was cited for inattentive driving in connection with a five-car crash Friday in St. Cloud that left at least two people hospitalized, according to police.

The St. Cloud Police Department says the crash happened at about 6:07 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 23 and Park Ave. S. Authorities say the teen, identified as Cydnee Marie Luedeke, was looking at her GPS when she rear-ended a vehicle that was slowing in traffic while heading eastbound on Highway 23.

Police say it cause a chain-reaction crash involving three other vehicles. A 74-year-old Cold Spring woman was in the car hit by Luedeke and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. A 33-year-old woman from St. Cloud was in the fifth car involved and was also taken to a hospital. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
