Local Foundation Works To Improve Health Of Newborn Babies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Twin Cities mom has taken a medical crisis with her daughter and turned it into a crusade to improve the lives of newborns around the world.

Annamarie Saarinen is the President of the Newborn Foundation and is just back from speaking at the UN.

She visited WCCO This Morning to discuss the Newborn Foundation.

The Newborn Foundation helps parents with early detection and intervention of a number of treatable newborn health conditions.

To help raise support for their cause, the foundation is hosting a Babies and Badasses Gala on Saturday!

The Newborn Foundation Awards Gala begins at 6 p.m. at the International Market Square in Minneapolis.
