Victim Identified In St. Paul Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- St. Paul police have identified the victim who was found shot to death near a house in the city's Payne-Phalen neighborhood.

According to police, the body of 24-year-old Sarah Anne Wierstad of St. Paul was found around 8 p.m. Sunday near Beaumont and Bedford streets.

Police say witnesses heard multiple gun shots. No suspects have been arrested or identified at this time.

The death marks the third homicide in the city within a week and the 10th homicide of the year.
