Police: Body Of 2nd Missing Little Falls Man Found In Miss. River

LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the deaths of two central Minnesota men whose bodies were found in the Mississippi River.

Police say 34-year-old William Lee Blake and 36-year-old Michael Robert Arndt, both of Little Falls, were supposed to meet Oct. 14 near the Burlington Northern Railroad Bridge on the north side of Little Falls.

Blake's body was recovered Sunday from the river after he was reported missing last Friday. Arndt's body was pulled from the river Wednesday morning, a day after he was reported missing, near the bridge were he planned to meet with Blake.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner reported an initial autopsy indicates that both died from freshwater drowning. There appears to be no sign of homicidal violence and there is no threat to the community.

The Little Falls Police Department, Morrison County Sheriff's Office, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force are investigating the deaths.
