Woman Charged With Aiding Suspects In Shooting Of Young St. Paul Mother

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A Minneapolis woman has been charged with three counts of aiding a suspect in the shooting death of a young mother who interrupted a burglary at her apartment in St. Paul.

Forty-two-year-old Michelle Koester is accused of misleading and obstructing investigators when they initially questioned her about the slaying of 24-year-old Sarah Wierstad on Oct. 18. Koester eventually told police specific details about each of the three suspect's involvement in the fatal robbery and their history of similar crimes.

Thirty-year-old Albert George McIntosh was charged Monday with shooting Wierstad, while 24-year-old Alvin Rudolph Bell is charged with aiding and abetting second-degree unintentional murder while committing a felony and 26-year-old Isiah Lee Harper is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary.

It wasn't immediately known whether the suspects have attorneys.
