Metro Transit Unveils First 'Bus Rapid Transit' To Be Used On A Line

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Metro Transit has unveiled the first bus in its new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service, which will be used on it's new A Line in 2016.

According to Metro Transit, the A Line is a new kind of bus service for the metro's busy streets.

Metro Transit says the BRT is a package of transit enhancements with the goal of leading to a faster trip and improved experience. Essentially, it's a train-like service where you pay for tickets in advance and disembark via enhanced stations.
