1 Killed, 2 Hurt In Crash By School Bus

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- At least one person was killed in Le Sueur County in a crash near a school bus Tuesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at about 7:30 a.m. near Highway 13 and 380 Street, not far from Highway 99.

KEYC reported that a car was stopped in the southbound lane next to a school bus picking up children.

The vehicle was rear-ended by a truck.

According to the report, the driver of the car that was rear-ended was killed in the crash. The driver and passenger of the truck were taken to the hospital.

"The cause of the crash as far -- as whether there was any distractions or things that caused this crash -- are still under investigation. We're not sure as to what the reasons were," State Patrol Lt. Casey Meagher said.

No one on the school bus was injured, according to the report. The victim's identity was not immediately released.
