St. Paul Launches Winter Parking App

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Tuesday's snow event is prompting snow emergencies in many Minnesota cities, including Minneapolis and St. Paul.

And in St. Paul, the city has launched a new winter parking app intended to clarify snow emergency rules and clearly show where parking is and is not allowed.

The city's Public Works Department spokesman Joe Ellickson says hopefully it will mean fewer cars getting towed, and much less frustration.

The app is available in English and Spanish. It also provides a link to snow emergency information in eight languages. It's free and downloadable from the Apple and Android app stores or the city of St. Paul's website.
