Officers tried to give first aid to the victim, but the 55-year-old died at the scene.

The pedestrian's name was not released.

Police say the driver involved in the incident is cooperating. Drugs and/or alcohol weren't believed to have been a factor.

The driver hit the pedestrian while traveling west on 85th Avenue.
