Man Arrested For Using Fake $10 Bills In St. Louis County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man from Tower, Minnesota is in police custody, accused of using counterfeit $10 bills all over St. Louis County.

Police say Ronald Edward Reynolds, 48, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Previous reports to several law enforcement agencies identified a man using the counterfeit money to pay for items at stores around the area. When Reynolds walked into another store that afternoon, an employee recognized him from the last time he used the fake bills and called police.

When police arrived, they matched Reynolds to pictures from the previous reports and found several other fake $10 bills on his person. A search of his car revealed equipment police believe he used to make the counterfeit money.

Police say the serial numbers of $10 bills involved in the case are MB02301810B and JL023951123B. Police are asking anyone with the fake bills or information to contact local law enforcement.
