Study: Families Of Cancer Patients Prefer At-Home End-Of-Life Care

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A new study of more than 2000 terminal cancer patients in Japan finds those who chose to die at home lived significantly longer than those who spent their final days at a hospital.

Researchers say the study suggests oncologists shouldn't hesitate to refer terminal patients for home-based care over concerns they may get less medical treatment.
