15-Year-Old Girl Hurt In Washington Co. Hit & Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 15-year-old girl was injured in Washington County Tuesday night when a car hit her and drove off, according to a statement from police.

Investigators say it happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 700 block of Hall Avenue in Birchwood. The girl was walking along the side of the road when a darker-colored, four-door sedan hit her from behind.

Police say she was transferred to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where she was treated for non-life-threatening -- though substantial -- injuries and later released.
