Musicals With A Mission Presents 'Into The Woods'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A local theater group that grew out of a church in Shakopee is helping the community by giving back.

Musicals with a Mission was founded by a church group in 2008. There are now more than 70 people involved.

Every year, they produce two large scale, family-friendly musicals.

It's all volunteers – from the director to the actors involved.

The first show of 2016 is "Into the Woods." It takes place at 7 p.m. next Friday, May 6.

They'll have one performance every day after through Wednesday, May 11.

It's at St. John's Lutheran Church in Shakopee.

The shows are free.
