4 Things To Do Today From Saturday, April 30, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Natalie Nyhus and Mike Augustyniak covered several exciting events going on this weekend on WCCO Saturday Morning – and here are the four that we think are atop the must-see-must-do list!

-------

1. A new exhibit wants you to go "Beyond Bollywood" and move past pop culture stereotypes of Indian Americans. From their daily experiences to their vital contributions to American life, it's all featured at the Minnesota History Center. "Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape The Nation" goes through July 10. Tickets are $12.

2. Spring means it's time for the return of farmers markets, and Saturday is the first weekend the St. Paul Farmers' Market is open. Besides fresh produce and other great food, there are also flowers like patio pots, hanging baskets and more. The market is in Lowertown through 1 p.m. this afternoon, and it's also open again Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. There are more flowers at the annual Art in Bloom event at MIA, or the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The four-day festival features more than 150 floral designs. Funds raised from the event help support things like education and programs in the community. Art in Bloom goes through Sunday and it's free.

4. And this weekend is also the annual Lake Minnetonka Studio Tour. Twenty-four local artists will open up their home studios to the public to show off a variety of different styles -- like ceramics, painting, jewelry and more. There are 11 locations in Deephaven, Excelsior and Minnetonka. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, or 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. It's free, and you can buy the pieces that you see in the studios.
