MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Despite extra patrols from Minneapolis police, shootings continue on the city's north side.

Another shooting on the north side early Saturday morning left three people hurt. It happened along West Broadway Avenue and 2nd Street just after 1 a.m.

Officers found two men who had been shot. They were taken to North Memorial, where a third man who had also been shot arrived. Police say his injuries were related to the same shooting.

All three are expected to survive, and there are no suspects yet in custody.

Expect an extra amount of police presence on the north side this weekend after a violent week, which included a young girl being hit by a stray bullet Thursday.

The girl's mother told WCCO a group of men got into a fight while playing a game of dice in the alley behind their residence.

A bullet went through her daughter's bedroom wall and hit her in the foot. She is expected to be OK.

One person was killed and seven others were hurt the night before in the gang shootout. Minneapolis police say they know who is responsible, but they have not yet made any arrests.

Police say shootings decreased by nearly 50 percent during its first extra-enforcement effort last weekend.
