Minneapolis Terror Trial

A major terror recruiting trial is set to start Monday morning.

If they're found guilty on their murder charges, they could spend the rest of their lives in prison.

The trial is expected to last five weeks.

Canada Wildfire

Firefighters in Canada are hoping cooler temperatures will help them gain the upper hand against a massive wildfire burning in parts of Alberta.

The fire, which started a week ago, has already scorched close to 400,000 acres and forced more than 80,000 people from their homes.

Officials fear it could cross into neighboring Saskatchewan if not contained.

Right now, avid star watchers can look into a telescope and see Mercury pass between the Earth and the sun.

The rare astronomical event is known as a planetary transit. It happens only a little more than once a decade.

The trip started a little after 6 a.m. Monday and should take seven and a half hours.
