Jury Selection To Continue In Trial Men Accused Of Trying To Join ISIS

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Things continued to move slowly Tuesday in a major terrorism trial in federal court in Minneapolis.

So far, not a single juror has been seated. At least 50 potential jurors have been excused from a pool of 100.

Three young Minneapolis men -- Mohammed Farah, 22, Abdirahman Daud, 22, and Guled Omar, 21 -- are charged with trying to join ISIS and conspiring to travel overseas to commit murder for the terror group. If convicted of the murder charge, they could face life in prison.

The trial is expected to last four weeks. Most of the jurors have been excused for practical reasons such as work or child care reasons.

But the judge dismissed more than 10 because they indicated they already believe the three are guilty.
